Carbon Offsetting

Jam Cruise is a “carbon neutral” event.

For the third year in a row, Jam Cruise is proud to partner with Trees, Water & People (TWP), a non-profit organization that manages award-winning carbon offsetting programs throughout Central America. Funds donated to TWP support their carbon-saving programs in Central America, which includes starting locally-managed, self-sufficient tree nurseries and building fuel-efficient, tree-saving stoves that use 70% less wood than traditional stoves.

The donation from Jam Cruise offsets more than 2,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions produced by the ship during our 5-day voyage. This “offset” does not include the emissions created by passengers traveling to and from Fort Lauderdale, so ZeroHero and TWP have teamed up to educate passengers about offsetting their own personal travel. Last year, more than 300 passengers made a donation, which earned them a ticket to the Greening Celebration on the last day at sea. Once again, this is the ONLY way to get a ticket!

This year, the Green Team is pleased to announce that the Greening Celebration will take place in the largest venue on board – el Teatro Carlos Felice on Deck 6 – featuring:
