Jam Cruise 8 sailed on the newest addition to the MSC fleet: the Poesia, which of course means poetry. We like to call her the Queen of the Seas. True to her name, she cascaded the decks with large balcony cabins and delicately glided out to sea while we visited the beautiful countries of Jamaica & the Cayman Islands. The pool deck was filled with dancers who celebrated life and music as STS9, The Word, Maceo Parker, Dweezil Zappa and 23 other incredible acts blew our minds.
Jam Cruise 7 boasted the largest ship in the MSC fleet, on the luxurious Orchestra. One of our favorite aspects of this ship was the multitude of balcony cabins for our passengers...and the jumbotron that illuminated mind blowing visuals to the sounds of Les Claypool, Medeski, Martin and Wood, and Michael Franti, just to name a few. We sailed to Belize and Costa Maya while the sounds of the seas and the 23 other amazing artists rocked our worlds!

We returned to the MSC Lirica once again, which felt like coming home to a familiar friend. With a seamless event and some of the most memorable jams we've ever heard, calling Jam Cruise 6 a success is an understatement. Our green team organized a charitable event when we docked in Roatan, Honduras, giving school supplies to children while our musicians played for the students! Cozumel was a great Mexican port. But on board, magic happened. Col Bruce is such a timeless musician, having Jon Fishman on board, and our veterans Galactic & Karl Denson funking it up, were only a few of the highlights!

MSC invited us back to board the MSC Opera, a sister to the Lirica and just as elegant. We shortened the trip by one day only so that we could go bigger each day! This time, we visited Turks & Caicos where everyone board, all 2000 of us, could head right off the ship and plant ourselves on the beach all day while swimming in crystal blue water. Then MSC took us to their private paradise Cayo Levantado where Hot Buttered Rum played right on the beach. The line up was outstanding, we were blessed to have Burning Spear with us and also. And to date, Galactic and Karl Denson have joined us on every cruise.

Enter MSC, a beautiful Italian cruise line that welcomed us and encouraged Jam Cruise 4 to sail with class and so much more. January 7-13, 2006, the MSC Lirica headed to see. It was our longest adventure and definitely worth it. We visited the most unique locations to date and brought 2000 passengers and over 20 bands. We saw the inauguration of the Brain Damaged Eggmen and had some really successful SonicBids winners on board. The artists continued to thrive while the fans grew closer together and more in love with Jam Cruise. This was the year of the "jam room" where musicians just came and picked up their instruments and played all night, the collaborations were ENDLESS!

It was time to take it up a notch. Two sold out cruises last year gave ease and comfort to a third sell out on Jam Cruise 3. This year, we headed to the Caribbean from January 6-10, 2005 aboard Carnival's Celebration...what a perfect name for an ideal event! 20 bands and 5 DJ's plus 1800 passengers marveled for days on end, dancing, playing, sitting in, enjoying every second. It was our biggest to date, but the fun had only begun.

The overwhelming response to the Maiden Voyage of Jam Cruise was more than anyone expected. So we decided it was only fair to do it again. The lineup we chose for the Second Set was as diverse as the Maiden Voyage, with four of the bands staying on: Galactic, KDTU, Particle and the Disco Biscuits. By the end, we had ALL bonded on many levels. There were even passengers that stayed on after Jam Cruise 1. That's how fun it was!
Twelve bands and DJ's and less than 1000 lucky attendees set sail on Saturday January 10th from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and visited the island of Nassau in the Bahamas as well as the United States' southernmost city, Key West. While at sea, cruisers enjoyed multiple shows from almost every artist on board at one of the Regal Empress' three venues, including a full day of music at sea. With no curfew in international waters, late night bands stretched themselves 'til the sun rises on the horizon. It was epic, folks... truly epic.

On Tuesday January 6th, 2004, Jam Cruise set sail on an adventure of a lifetime. We were the world's first and only fully chartered 4 night jamband music festival at sea, featured the brightest talent in the world of improvisational music, brought together for the sole purpose of creating an atmosphere of good vibes, incredible music and great fun among friends.
The cruise, which departed from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, was an intimate gathering of over 12 of the hottest bands and DJ's in the music scene today and their dedicated fans who travelled the world over to see them. We found those from Alaska and Australia on board. Jam Cruise epic concerts and marathon shows took place in multiple venues both indoors and under the stars from high noon to sunrise. Aboard the Imperial Majesty Regal Empress, this one of a kind music festival at sea held only 900 passengers and together, we made history.
