Thanks for the heads up, Shack. I'll definitely catch them at least once. They're here for three shows, probably because Chris lives here.

Yup, I'm going to see them tonight in Santa Cruz - Can't wait. Than go to Fremont street fair in Seattle Sunday 6/18 3PM. Passing through town and must see them again :)

If you see a dude in a Garaj Mahal T shirt - thats me, stop and say hi :)

Shack,

I see that Flowmotion is on the same stage at 5:45. Check them out if you can. Very funky.

I cant wait to see them next Fri. in Bend.
"The Grove" is about the size of my living room so I'm always stoked to see a good band there.
Loredit--- I always try to catch Flowmotion when they are around. They are comming down to Bend to play a good friends wedding. Good funky fun.

Bier Stein-
Unfortunatly we didnt make it  We were suposed to come with Tonya (Brewmaster at Bend Brewing Co.) but but my girl had to work..

You should definatly go see Blu Sirkut, you also have The Motet rolling through on the 14th of July, if you have never seen them you should check it out. Most of them have been on the boat.

I know Tonya very well. Please tell her I said Hi. The fest was much fun, with over 50 outstanding beers.
Looks like the lineup for Oregon Country Fair is going to be a lot of fun.
Zero, JGB, motet drummers, and much more.
Then Two days of Panic, and now motet. Looks like July will be full.
Cheers
Chip

Shack, I was looking out for you and your Garaj Mahal shirt yesterday but didn't see you.

Hope you enjoyed the Fremont Fair and Blu Sirkut (and Flowmotion). We sure did.

Saw them at the Mississippi Studios in Portland, what a freakin' show. There were about 30 peeps in attendance, but the band was still appreciative, and jammin'

I found it funny when talking with Brian that pretty much at every show they get told that they sound better w/out Karl.

We felt the same way. I wouldn't mind if the Tiny Universe got tinier.

sorry I missed the show in fremont I know lame. I got stuck in Port Townsend car issues on my way back from Olympic National Park. Port Townsend is a great place , all of the NW is.

Blu Sirkut was awsome in Santy Cruz, played over 3 hrs until 1:45 PM. Only about 30 people in audience. They defintely deserve a much larger audience. I hope they hit it big. All cool dudes and I know you all Jam Cruzers know them well. Very talented musicians - they jammed with many acts at JC4. Please support the band and check em out.

I don't know if it's true or not... just what I heard.... But is David Veith going extra synthesizer heavy in this lineup?

Someone told me that Blu Sirkut is more "electronica-funk" than the straight up horn driven funk and it's mostly due to David Veith (And I assume Littlefield is still using his little midi controller and laptop?)

I have no recordings. They're not on the archive. Someone describe them for me so I can imagine. With or without Karl, those guys are some of my favorite musicians.

I love Karl D - but half the reason I love him so much is because of the SICK musicians he plays with. Johnson and Staten are just hands down one of the tightest and funkiest rhythm sections on the planet for my money.
